President
Diane Staab

Diane Staab, President

Diane Staab joined the College Station chapter of the American Business Women’s Association (LINC) in 2004. After the LINC chapter merged with the Leading Women’s Express Network, Diane held her first Executive Board position as Vice President of Administration for the 2005-2006 year. She held the same position again for the 2006-2007 Executive Board and now serves as President-Elect.
Diane is a paraplanner at Warwick Partners, a comprehensive financial planning and wealth management firm located in Bryan . A team member at Warwick since 1994, Diane is responsible for 80 client relationships and over $250 million in assets.
Diane is married to Keith, a professional scout in the Chicago White Sox organization, and is the mother of two boys ages eleven and seven.

President Elect
Pam Green

Pam Green, President Elect

Pam is currently the Director of Communications for the Texas Engineering Experiment Station and the Dwight Look College of Engineering at Texas A&M University. She is responsible for managing an in-house communication staff of 10 which supports the communications needs of both the engineering research agency and the largest college on the Texas A&M campus. Pam has over 25 years marketing and public relations experience.  She has developed and implemented marketing plans for banks, restaurants, retail stores, transportation agencies and colleges.  Her work has been recognized with many regional marketing and communications awards. Pam is a charter member of LWEN and has held the positions of VP of Programs and VP of Marketing and Membership.  She has also served on the LWEN Chapter Woman of the Year and Top Ten committees.  Pam is originally from New Orleans; is married and has one son who is class of '11 at Texas A&M.  Whoop!

Lina Lawson

Lina Lawson, VP of Programs

Lina is a true entrepreneur. She has built a remarkable career, selflessly donates her time for volunteer activities supporting the Bryan-College Station community and has held many leadership positions in both the Leading Women Express Network and the Bryan-College Station Charter Chapter. Lina is currently serving on the National Board of Directors as National President for the American Business Women’s Association.

“Life is about opportunities, opportunities to grow, you can either be status quo, or find different arenas to build your expertise,” says Lina. Lina Lawson lives by this philosophy and she enjoys helping others fulfill their dreams and successes. After 11 years of service to C.C. Creations, Lina Lawson is now living her dream by owning her own graphic design firm with her identical twin sister; Tina Gandy called Twinz Co. Graphic Design. It is a full service graphic design firm located in downtown Bryan, Texas. Lina balances her time with her stepson Collin, her husband Kenneth, and family while playing a key role in ABWA and extracurricular activities.

Mechelle MilliornMechelle Milliorn, VP of Finance

Mechelle graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration with an emphasis on Human Resources in 2001. She started her career at the College Station Hilton as the Assistant Human Resource Director where she fell in love with the hospitality industry. After a year of being in human resources, she advanced to the Director of Front Office Operations. After mastering the front office she was promoted to the Director of Revenue. In 2004, she was given the opportunity to become a General Manager with a chance to open a new property, the Homewood Suites by Hilton. The following year the hotel was presented with three great awards which included 2005 Top New Hotel Performance Award of Merit, 2005 Pride Award of Merit, and 2005 General Manager of the Year Award of Merit. Winning these awards has made Mechelle realize the hospitality industry is her forte.

Cindy May

Cindy May, VP of Hospitality

Cindy graduated from San Antonio College in 1992 wherein she earned three Associate degrees.  She is the Assistant Office Manager for West, Webb, Allbritton & Gentry, P.C., where she has been employed for the past 12 years.  Cindy has volunteered her time with many organizations in the Brazos Valley. She was the Secretary for the Brazos Valley Chorale in 1994, and a Board member of Brazos Valley Younglife in 1995. Cindy has also been a member of the Junior League of Bryan-College Station since 1995. In 2004 she served on the Cattle Baron’s Ball Committee for the American Cancer Society, and from 2004-2007 she was the Treasurer of the College Station Soccer Club. She is currently serving on the American Heart Association’s 2009 Go Red for Women Committee.  Cindy is a Charter member of the Leading Women Express Network and has served as VP of Programs, VP of Marketing and Arrangements, President-Elect and President. Cindy is married to John May, and is the proud mother of Collin, Brooke, and Addison.

Debbie Waskow Debbie Waskow, VP of Adminstration

Debbie Waskow is the co-owner of Superior Auto Service. She is also the owner, CEO and President of Express Rent-A-Car. She has her AAM certification in automotive management, and she recently received her “HUB” Certification for Xpress Rent-A-Car. Debbie was the first woman President of the Automotive Service Association of Brazos County and one of a handful of women in the nation who hold an office of President in ASA.

Debbie has also been in the legal for 23 years. She is a paralegal and office manager for a local law firm and has been with the same firm for 12 years.

Tina GandyTina Gandy, VP of Communications

Tina Gandy graduated from Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree with an emphasis in Graphic Design and Marketing in 1994. Immediately afterwards, Tina started her career with C.C. Creations, the largest screen-printing and embroidery company in Texas, as an Senior Designer. She worked on corporate accounts such as Frito-Lay with Chester the Cheetah, Walt Disney, Garfield, Looney Tunes, ESPN, X-Games and many more. In 1998, Tina began working for First American Bank as the Senior Marketing Coordinator. She organized and designed promotional campaigns for the Bryan-College Station market and over 85 branches throughout Texas. First American Bank encouraged Tina to get involved with the community. Service is vitally important to her. "Service is multi-faceted: caring, sharing, mentoring, leading, volunteering, supporting and giving." Tina explains. She wants those components in her life. On August 1, 2002, Tina retired from First American Bank with the vision of starting her own marketing and graphic design firm, Twinz Co. Marketing and Graphic Design. Tina was recognized nationally as one of the ten 2005 Top Ten Business Women for the American Business Women's Association and currently serves as a role model, a mentor, and an Ambassador to all members of the association. Tina is an eight year member, belonging to ABWA's Leading Women Express Network in Bryan, Texas and Women in Motion Express Network in Navasota, Texas.

Cortney TenhetCortney Tenhet, VP of Marketing & Membership

Cortney Tenhet ’97 holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Texas A&M University. While attending Texas A&M, she was an active member of Delta Zeta sorority, an Aggie Muster Family Greeter, and a H.O.S.T. volunteer. Shortly after graduation, she became a flight attendant for American Airlines. After traveling North America for one year, Tenhet decided to move back to her hometown of Austin, Texas where she worked as a Legislative Relations Aide for a prominent lobbyist during the 2001 Texas State Session. Tenhet returned to Aggieland in September 2001 to continue her career as Marketing Director for C.C. Creations. After nearly six years with C.C. Creations, Tenhet is now the Marketing Manager for Neutral Posture in their Bryan, Texas office. Immediate Past President of the Brazos County A&M Club, serves on the Executive Committee for the American Cancer Society’s annual Cattle Baron’s Ball, a member of the Gary Blair Celebrity Golf Tournament Committee and is Co-Chairing the 2008 American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women Luncheon. In addition to these committees and organizations, Tenhet is also a member of the 12th Man Foundation, the Association of Former Students, and the Junior League of Bryan-College Station. Tenhet has been a member of the Leading Women Express Network since 2005 and is looking forward to her 2007-2008 year of service and hopes to fulfill all the expectations of the membership.

Desarie Hobbs

Desarie Hobbs, VP of Marketing & Arrangements

Desarie Hobbs graduated from Texas A&M University in 1996 with a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture Development.  Desarie has been working in Real Estate and Finance for ten years.  She is currently the Sr. Loan Officer with LegacyTexas Mortgage in College Station.  Desarie has been involved with the Bryan-College Station Regional Association of Realtors and is active in planning children's events for the Wheelock Civic Association.  Desarie and her husband Robby are the proud parents of Harrison and Samantha.
